"I started playing drums at the age of 14, inspired
by Led Zeppelin I and other records from the sixties-seventies.
I soon joined my first band, unfortunately playing one
of these practice drumkits with no sound at all. Anyway
I often managed to escape my father's surveillance and
pounded his kit!"
"The first gig came really soon the same year,
which was really good as it led to many offers for more
work. I started to play with different people in different
projects, which allowed me to develop a very wide spectrum
of influences and an interest in every possible musical
style on earth!"
"Soon I realized that I needed to study hard, and
I started having lessons with classically trained teachers
from CPM (one of the best music schools in Italy) where
I graduated. That phase was really helpful, as it helped
me to develop many skills.
| "From then on, I managed
to get good jobs, growing even more in terms of
musical potential." |
"Since then I have worked mainly as a session
drummer, playing in many various outfits, such as Echo
80. For two years, I was the drummer for “The
Rocky Horror Show” (My God that was real fun!).
I have recorded an album due to come out soon with a
fusion-contemporary composer. I am working on a project
for the creation of a small record label down in Italy."
"Here in London, I teach and work on as many projects
as I can. The main band I am involved with is "Sonoma",
a classy pop-rock project.
This is pretty much it, see you soon and, as “El
Negro” said, remember “DRUMMING IS LIFE!”
