We believe that a concise curriculum
is a key factor for effective learning. Ours is designed
specifically for all skill levels as well as being tailored
to each individual student’s needs. It is just
as important to have a solid curriculum for a beginner
as it is for an advanced player.
Our graded curriculum provides a complete structure
for the implementation of material and learning tools
that gives priority to musical literacy, technique,
style and versatility on the drums.

The
Planet Drum graded curriculum for drumkit is built
on basic to advanced complete drumming studies,
and complemented by monthly performance rehearsals
and masterclasses, leading to a performance with
a full band at the end of each term.
The
curriculum is built on a set of 8 levels containing
10 stages each. Each stage is aimed to be taught
within one to three lessons in private tuition,
and within one lesson in group classes.
Students also have an option to study
Trinity grades at Planet Drum. All the music for new
drum kit exams has been collected into a series of four
books, each with CD and containing two grades. Exams
can be arranged with the Trinity and Guildhall college.
