"I started playing Afro-Cuban
percussion in 1992 in Toulouse (France) during my university
years and became totally addicted…
After moving to London I carried on studying at the
Hackney Community College with professionals such as
Michael Thomas, Oli Savil and Bill Bland."
"I have recently achieved my long-standing dream
of going to Cuba for the “Real thing”. I
studied for 4 months at the Instituto Superior de Arte
(I.S.A.) in Havana as well as took private lessons with
Mickey Alfonso (Pancho Quinto and Tata Guines school).
I was lucky enough to be able to play with some amazing
percussionists and live in a country were music is simply
the main cultural activity and a sort of national passion!"
"I have a business degree and worked as a trader
in the I.T. industry for many years. I am therefore
one of the best person to advocate the benefits of drumming
as an “anti-stress” activity. But above
all I am totally fascinated by the spirit of togetherness
and synergy that it generates."
"This is why at Planet Drum, we have decided
to share our passion of drumming with people
from all walks of life through our Latin Percussion
workshops and our community and corporate drum
circles. The Beat is on…."
