There are group drumming workshops for all tastes and levels at Planet Drum, whether you want to play drums in a band, improve your rhythm skills, attend masterclasses, or learn traditional Latin percussion. |

Planet Drum band workshops are a great opportunity for drummers and percussionist wishing to get group playing experience. A typical line up for a band workshop includes drums, percussion, guitar, bass and piano. Students work on songs in the one to one lessons, and play them at the band workshops. |

This workshop is for all drummers keen to improve their general musicianship skills. Topics for 2011/12 include: reading studies, time keeping control, rudiments, music theory, basic keyboard skills, drum machines and sequencers, style studies (rock, pop, jazz, Latin, orchestral, rudimental, world music), understanding of song form, improvisation, and setting up and tuning drums.

Planet Drum's Latin percussion workshops are a fantastic way to have a group musical experience with modern and traditional rhythms. We teach Afro-Cuban and Brazilian styles using a variety of instruments, however, congas are the main drums used to learn these rhythms. See the curriculum
