Here at Planet drum, we're a friendly and eclectic bunch
with students of all skill levels and age groups, with passions for different musical genres.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, there's something for everyone here.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, there's something for everyone here.
Some students start with us at a very young age,
burning with ambition. Others already work as professional musicians, and come to us to take on new challenges, and to work on their technique. Many of our students have simply decided to try something different, some even in retirement!

Alan Amerault'Planet drum has a very welcoming, low-pressure environment. Workshops are all about inclusion and learning, and the instructors are extremely experienced. I most enjoy that this really is a school with a sense of community, and not just a place for ‘taking lessons.’

‘Don’t wait until you’re 30 like I did. But don’t let it stop you either if you are!’

‘Planet drum tutors are really approachable, friendly and prepared to go out of their way to help. You get a real sense of being part of a family, you’re treated as an individual and your needs are always catered for and welcome whether you’re a beginner or at the top of your game.’

‘I have been having lessons at Planet drum for the last 2 and a half years. I initially intended to have a crash course after a brief lay-off, but I got hooked. Alain has constantly kept me challenged and inspired and I have discovered new ways to say the things I want to say musically. A person can only get so far learning things on their own, but when you get a good coach, it’s dynamite. The things I love about Planet drum are the attitude and passion for the craft.’
