Meet our music teachers
Dedicated teachers and active musicians. Each tutor at Planet drum brings years of teaching experience together with a real, ongoing musical practice, including gigging, recording, touring, producing, and performing.
Choosing a music school often comes down to choosing a teacher. At Planet drum, our tutors are dedicated teachers and active musicians in equal measure. They've spent years on stages, in studios, in conservatoires, on tour, and just as many years sharing what they know with students. Each tutor is introduced below.
All Planet drum tutors hold a current DBS check, and we're happy to match you with the right tutor for your goals, level and personality. If you're not sure who'd suit you, book a taster lesson and we'll pair you with someone we think will click.

How we match you with the right tutor
We don't allocate tutors randomly. When you book a taster lesson, we use the information you share, including your instrument, your experience level, your goals and your scheduling preferences, to pair you with the tutor who'll suit you best.
After your taster, if you'd like to continue but feel another tutor might be a better fit, just tell us. Switching tutors mid-membership is no problem; your monthly slot stays the same, just the face in the room changes.
Safeguarding and DBS
Every Planet drum tutor holds a current DBS check. We follow safeguarding practices in line with UK requirements for music education providers. You can read our safeguarding policy in full.
Parents are welcome to sit in on the taster lesson. For ongoing lessons, we ask parents to wait in our reception area, where you're always close by.
