Learn to play the djembe, West Africa’s most celebrated drum
You’ll master basic strokes and tones, then apply them to traditional rhythms and modern styles like Samba, Pop, and House. The djembe’s versatility makes it ideal for drumkit players and beginners alike, offering a rich, expressive foundation for groove-building and musical exploration.
Your one-to-one Hand Percussion lessons are supported by dynamic group workshops and access to our practice rooms whenever you need. All of our percussion courses begin with a one-to-one taster lesson, giving you a chance to explore the instruments, try out some rhythms with your teacher, and discuss your goals before committing to a full course. Once enrolled, you’ll be invited to our band workshops, where you can jam with our house band and connect with fellow rhythm lovers. You’ll also have the chance to perform in our summer and winter concerts, showcasing your progress in a live setting.
